Poor Ears

Poor Carter has another ear infection in his right ear. We went to the after hours peditrician office two weeks ago because Carter was really fussy, had a fever and screamed while eating. Sure enough the little man had a bad infection all the way down to his ear drum. We left there with a prescription for Augmentin (which Carter hated the taste of and gave him horrible stomach problems which caused a bad diaper rash). Poor baby! He took that for ten days and we had a follow-up with our normal pedi on Wednesday and the infection is still not gone. Now Carter is on Zithromax for five days and we have another appointment to check his ears February 2. Keeping our fingers crossed that the infection will be gone for good this time!
